About the role
Overview
Desigual is seeking a passionate and creative Fashion Designer to join our team in Barcelona. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape innovative fashion collections that embody our brand's unique DNA and creative vision. As a key member of our design team, you'll collaborate across departments to develop garments that are both commercially compelling and true to Desigual's distinctive style.
Responsibilities
Design and develop garments aligned with seasonal concepts, brand identity, and market needs
Create mood boards, color palettes, prints, graphics, and technical sketches for collections
Research trends, fabrics, materials, and new techniques to ensure innovative product proposals
Collaborate with Product Development and Buying teams to align designs with price positioning and business strategy
Follow up garment development from concept to final sample, maintaining design integrity and quality
Work closely with suppliers and production teams to ensure design feasibility and correct execution
Prepare technical documentation and support product fittings
Monitor market trends and competitors to identify product improvement opportunities
Ensure collections meet timing, calendar milestones, and internal processes
Requirements
Degree in Fashion Design or related field
Minimum 5 years of professional fashion design experience
Strong knowledge of fabrics, materials, and garment construction techniques
Ability to interpret trends and translate them into commercial, brand-aligned designs
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
High creativity with strong product sensibility and commercial awareness
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Proactive attitude and strong teamwork mindset
Fluency in Spanish and English
