Overview
At Dries Van Noten, a brand renowned for its fearless eclecticism and innovative approach to fashion, we are seeking a talented Fabric Developer to play a crucial role in shaping our collections. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for bringing innovative and sustainable textile developments to life while maintaining the brand's distinctive creative identity.
Responsibilities
Source and develop unique, high quality fabrics that perfectly align with the brand's aesthetic
Explore new materials and technologies to keep our fabric offerings fresh and exciting
Ensure all fabrics meet rigorous quality and sustainability standards
Build and maintain strong partnerships with fabric suppliers and mills
Manage fabric development process from initial sampling to final delivery
Maintain detailed documentation of fabrics, including specifications and testing results
Collaborate closely with ESG manager to support sustainability initiatives
Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing company needs
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years experience in fabric or product development within fashion or textile industry
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Product Design, Engineering, or related field
Comprehensive knowledge of fabrics, textile construction, and performance
Strong creative sensibility with understanding of color, texture, and composition
Proven experience managing development processes from concept to delivery
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Proficiency in PLM systems, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
Analytical mindset with robust problem-solving capabilities
