Innovation Analyst (Processing)

Overview

Fashion for Good is seeking an Innovation Analyst to join their Innovation Platform team, focusing on scouting and evaluating processing innovations in chemistry, microfibres, and leather. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in identifying, assessing, and supporting sustainable innovations in the fashion industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead intelligence and scouting efforts for chemistry and microfibres landscapes, developing deep technical knowledge of production processes and technologies

• Scout, screen, and evaluate chemistry innovations using Fashion for Good's established due diligence framework

• Conduct comprehensive due diligence assessments covering technical, commercial, and performance aspects

• Manage project development for microfibre fragmentation and finishing chemistry initiatives

• Assist in creating deliverables for innovator roadmaps, including technical feasibility and impact analysis

• Execute collaborative pilots and projects, defining scope, success criteria, and performance requirements

• Write detailed reports with findings and recommendations

• Build and maintain an active innovator alumni network

• Document interactions in relevant tools and contribute to thought leadership publications

Requirements

• Academic degree in textile engineering, biological sciences, biotechnology, polymer science, material science, chemistry, mechanical or chemical engineering

• Strong technical knowledge of chemistry innovation

• Understanding of fashion, textile, and footwear industry

• Excellent project management and multi-stakeholder engagement skills

• Strong analytical and research capabilities with meticulous attention to detail

• Proficiency in G Suite (particularly PowerPoint)

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• 1-4 years experience in research and development, consulting, sustainability, or textile industry
