About the role
Overview
Tommy Hilfiger is seeking a talented Junior Designer for its Runway & Celebrity Dressing team, based in the Amsterdam European HQ. This role supports the design and execution of seasonal runway shows while contributing to the brand's iconic "classic American cool" aesthetic.
Responsibilities
Support creative research within the Tommy Hilfiger brand strategy, translating concepts into seasonal product designs
Design confidently with a luxury handwriting while maintaining the brand's DNA
Create detailed design illustrations using Illustrator or hand sketching techniques
Prepare sketches and presentations for digital divisional reviews
Support style development, including garment worksheets and factory communication
Assist with proto reviews, style outs, and show preparation
Support Tech and Product Development teams during garment fittings
Manage multiple overlapping project deadlines
Requirements
Fashion Design degree or equivalent
1-2 years of fashion design experience, preferably in mid to luxury market segments
Excellent computer skills in Illustrator/Photoshop and hand-drawing abilities
Strong trend translation skills with a contemporary design aesthetic
Comprehensive fabric and technical design knowledge
Understanding of Tommy Hilfiger's aesthetic, including qualities, washes, and details
Proactive approach and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
Fluent business English communication
