Overview
Halfdays is a Denver-based outdoor apparel brand for the modern woman, built on a mission to make the outdoors more approachable, inclusive, and fun. Known for ski wear and activewear designed and made for women, the brand blends performance functionality with a distinct style point of view across outerwear, activewear, and trail-to-town essentials.
We're looking for a sharp, creative, and detail-obsessed Senior Apparel Designer to help build our next generation of product. Reporting directly to the Design Director, you'll play a vital role on the team, concepting silhouettes, refining fit, and ensuring every product hits the mark on performance, style, and the Halfdays vibe. If you have a strong eye for detail, a background in performance or outerwear design, and a willingness to take on new challenges as they arise, this role could be a great fit.

Own the end-to-end design process from sketch to final tech pack across woven tops/bottoms, fleece, outerwear, and sweaters
Develop seasonal concepts, color palettes, and silhouette direction in partnership with the Design Director
Research trends, markets, and materials to bring fresh, innovative ideas into the line
Create original designs that merge performance functionality with the Halfdays style point of view
Collaborate with merchandising, product development, and tech design to ensure feasibility, fit, and brand alignment
Design within cost, sourcing, and brand requirements
Participate in fittings, proto reviews, and end-user sessions to ensure real-world performance
Create detailed technical illustrations and comprehensive tech packs for factory handoff
Oversee fabric selection, color approvals, and lab dips to ensure seasonal cohesion
Support product storytelling and seasonal collection narratives
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously to meet calendar deadlines
Travel domestically and internationally to support development and production as needed
Requirements
6+ years of experience in apparel design, ideally in performance, activewear, or outerwear
Strong eye for proportion, color, and fabric, with a deep understanding of construction and function
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and digital sketching
Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced, startup environment
Organized, self-motivated, and eager to learn
Strong communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally
Bonus: experience designing for a range of body types or high-sweat activities
Benefits
Covered medical, dental, and vision for employees
Generous parental leave
Company-paid parking
Free Halfdays products each season
In-office in Denver with flexibility to work from home periodically, on a collaborative, fast-paced, and deeply cross-functional team
