About the role
Overview
Join the creative heart of Birger Christensen Collective as a Fashion Design Intern, working directly with the team behind the iconic brand ROTATE. This is a hands-on opportunity to immerse yourself in the full lifecycle of collection development within a dynamic, fast-paced fashion environment.
If you are passionate about fashion and eager to develop your skills alongside a dedicated Design team, this internship offers a genuine learning experience that spans everything from creative research to technical production. The minimum duration is 3 months, with a preference for a 6-month commitment.
Responsibilities
Support the Design team with product development across seasonal collections
Assist in creating technical drawings and tech packs
Prepare and maintain presentation boards featuring seasonal sketches, fabrics, colours, prints, and trims
Create, upload, and manage tech packs through the PLM system Delogue
Help maintain organisation and workflow within the Design department
Participate in daily design operations and practical departmental tasks
Support creative research and trend analysis
Assist in developing prints and colour options
Contribute to the creation of seasonal colour cards and fabric books
Take on hands-on and ad hoc assignments as needed
Requirements
Currently enrolled in a degree programme in Fashion Design or a related field
Genuine passion for fashion, with a particular enthusiasm for the ROTATE brand
Creative, motivated, organised, and detail oriented approach to work
Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced, priority-driven environment
Strong skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite
Enthusiastic, self-disciplined, and proactive work ethic
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
A collaborative team player who also thrives working independently
Eager to contribute creative ideas and take initiative
