About the role
Overview
At Suitsupply, the Merchandise Planner plays a critical role in driving the company's global business strategy by ensuring optimal inventory management and product availability. You'll be a key contributor to the organization's growth, working closely with multiple teams to analyze sales data, forecast trends, and develop strategic merchandise plans.
Responsibilities
Create and maintain merchandise plans for assigned product categories to meet financial goals including sales, margin, and inventory turnover
Conduct comprehensive analyses of sales trends, historical data, and market conditions to identify opportunities and potential risks
Collaborate closely with the merchandise team to align on product assortment strategies and ensure optimal stock levels
Drive the monthly Open to Buy (OTB) process, reforecasting sales based on recent trends and stock development
Maintain balanced inventory levels to prevent stockouts and excess inventory
Assist in budget development and track performance against established targets
Proactively collaborate across teams to align merchandise plans with broader business goals
Continuously seek commercial opportunities and flag potential risks
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Economics or a related field
3-5 years of experience in merchandise planning and inventory management
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
