At Suitsupply, the Merchandise Planner plays a critical role in driving the company's global business strategy by ensuring optimal inventory management and product availability. You'll be a key contributor to the organization's growth, working closely with multiple teams to analyze sales data, forecast trends, and develop strategic merchandise plans.
What you'll do
- Create and maintain merchandise plans for assigned product categories to meet financial goals including sales, margin, and inventory turnover
- Conduct comprehensive analyses of sales trends, historical data, and market conditions to identify opportunities and potential risks
- Collaborate closely with the merchandise team to align on product assortment strategies and ensure optimal stock levels
- Drive the monthly Open to Buy (OTB) process, reforecasting sales based on recent trends and stock development
- Maintain balanced inventory levels to prevent stockouts and excess inventory
- Assist in budget development and track performance against established targets
- Proactively collaborate across teams to align merchandise plans with broader business goals
- Continuously seek commercial opportunities and flag potential risks
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Economics or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in merchandise planning and inventory management
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
