About the role
Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate fashion design professional to contribute to George at Asda's innovative clothing design process. As an Assistant Designer for Dresses and Blouses, you'll be empowered to drive product development while keeping the customer at the heart of everything you do.
Responsibilities
Contribute to research of new fashion trends and market information
Inform decision making and assist in driving product development
Work with UK and overseas suppliers/factories to develop multi-category products
Utilize digital tools and research avenues including social media, blogs, and trend sites
Manage daily admin and sample management efficiently
Produce innovative and commercially viable designs under manager guidance
Requirements
Experience in clothing retail or design environment
Strong track record of researching and producing innovative designs
Proficiency in CAD software (Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator)
Strong understanding of critical path management
Innovative approach to digital working methods
Excellent organizational and research skills
