Overview
Tommy Hilfiger is seeking a talented Junior Technical Developer to join our dynamic Technical Development team for a 6-month contract. In this role, you'll be instrumental in developing foundational skills in apparel technical development, supporting the creation of seasonal collections and maintaining technical documentation.
About the Team
The Technical Development team at Tommy Hilfiger is responsible for delivering innovative and sustainable products that embody the brand's iconic global lifestyle. You'll collaborate closely with design, merchandising, and product development teams to bring creative concepts to life.
Responsibilities
Support the technical development process from initial concept through final product
Participate in fit sessions, record comments, and assist with communicating updates
Maintain accuracy and completeness of technical data in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
Follow the critical path to ensure on-time delivery of collections
Build foundational technical skills through hands on learning in fittings, specifications, and vendor communication
Collaborate with sourcing, quality, and overseas teams to resolve technical issues
Assist with sample organization, meeting preparation, and reporting
Requirements
1-2 years of experience or internship in apparel product development or garment technology
Degree in fashion, garment technology, pattern cutting, or related field
Basic understanding of garment construction, fit, and pattern development
Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-focused mindset
Detail-oriented and organized approach to maintaining data accuracy
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands on environment
Fluent in written and spoken English
Nice-to-Have Skills
Familiarity with PLM software (e.g., Gerber or equivalent)
