About the role
Overview
Urban Outfitters is seeking a creative and innovative Assistant Designer to join our dynamic Menswear Design team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a trend-setting brand that champions creativity, inclusivity, and progressive design across Europe.
Responsibilities
Assist in design development across multiple product lines
Research and identify key trends to inspire and develop new clothing ranges
Source new fabrics and trims, identifying innovative washes and techniques
Develop commercial fashion products for UK and European markets
Collaborate closely with Buying and Merchandising teams to select and present ranges
Create CAD technical packs, including measurement specifications and fabric references
Contribute to seasonal trend concepts and color boards
Develop design concepts through hand and CAD sketches
Requirements
Experience as an Assistant Designer or Senior Design Assistant in Menswear
Strong technical design knowledge across multi product areas
Directional portfolio demonstrating creative thinking
Deep understanding of Urban Outfitters' trend-making identity
Exceptional attention to detail from concept to final design
Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
Proficient in CAD software: Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
