Overview
At ASICS, we're more than just a brand; we're a movement dedicated to strengthening body and mind. Located at our EMEA headquarters near Amsterdam, we're seeking a Product Developer to contribute to our innovative sportswear collections. This role is critical in driving technical development, material innovations, and ensuring high quality apparel that embodies our commitment to movement.
Please note this is a 6-month temporary contract.
Responsibilities
Develop styles and collections in collaboration with product managers, design teams, and suppliers
Research and implement innovative garment construction technologies
Drive cross-functional communication with internal and external stakeholders
Partner with Material lead to select appropriate fabrics and trims
Oversee physical and functional testing protocols for materials
Manage lab dip processes with Vietnam based service provider
Review and analyze costs at the first prototype stage
Maintain detailed technical documentation throughout development cycles
Ensure product finalization and approval before bulk orders commence
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Textile, Fashion, or Clothing
4-5 years of garment or sportswear industry experience
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP and pivot tables)
Experience with 3D sampling and Adobe Creative Suite
Experience working in an international company
Pattern-making expertise and garment fitting experience
Strong knowledge of fabric development and materials management
Ability to travel between headquarters and manufacturing partners
