Product Development Manager
About the role
Overview
Acne Studios is a progressive luxury fashion house that values collaboration, curiosity, and excellence. We are seeking a Product Development Manager for our knitwear team who will contribute to developing high end quality collections while supporting our company's standards for quality, cost, sustainability, and delivery.
Responsibilities
Drive the development of premium knitwear collections aligned with quality, cost, sustainability, and delivery goals
Manage the end-to-end product development process
Source and research materials to meet design briefs and sustainability targets
Attend fittings and provide expert input on quality, fit, and construction
Lead costing and margin analysis, supporting negotiation strategies
Allocate styles to suppliers based on capabilities, standards, and pricing
Maintain accurate product data and Bills of Materials (BOMs) in PLM systems
Monitor seasonal development budgets and ensure cost control
Collaborate closely with suppliers and conduct on-site visits as needed
Foster strong cross functional partnerships to meet product requirements
Requirements
Academic degree in fashion or textile education
Minimum 5 years' experience in product development, preferably from high-end fashion brands
Hands-on experience developing knitwear garments
Highly skilled in MS Office, especially Excel
Solid costing and negotiation skills

Works in a structured, proactive manner with excellent follow-through
Creative and cooperative problem solving skills
Clear and confident communication in English, both written and spoken
