About the role
Overview
Zelus is a global sportswear brand and Nike Inc.'s exclusive licensee for teamwear apparel and equipment. We are seeking a talented Product Developer to join our dynamic team in Hilversum, Netherlands. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in transforming design concepts into market-ready products across various sports, including rugby, basketball, track and field, and hockey.
Responsibilities
Handle assigned style development from initial brief to production-ready stage, adhering to critical dates and product specifications
Participate in concept work and design reviews, providing technical insights on design feasibility, manufacturability, and cost
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including product specs, bills of materials, and development trackers
Pre-cost styles to ensure target pricing, working closely with factories and vendors
Facilitate and track sampling, identify and mitigate development challenges
Lead fit sessions and product review meetings
Monitor and communicate development progress to cross-functional teams
Maintain up-to-date developer tools and logs for accurate reporting
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in apparel design/development, pattern making, textile science, or related field
2+ years of apparel product development experience
Proficiency in graphic applications (sublimation printing, screen printing, embroidery, heat transfers)
Strong technical design interpretation skills
Expertise in Adobe Illustrator, MS Office (Centric PLM experience preferred)
Experience working with factories and vendors
Excellent project management and multitasking abilities
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Previous teamsport or licensed product experience
Advanced technical design skills
