About the role
Overview
Desigual is seeking a passionate and creative Fashion Designer to join our dynamic team at our headquarters in Barceloneta. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the brand's creative vision and develop innovative women's fashion collections that capture Desigual's unique DNA.
Responsibilities
Design and develop garments that align with seasonal concepts, brand identity, and market needs
Create comprehensive mood boards, color palettes, prints, graphics, and technical sketches for collections
Conduct in-depth trend research on fabrics, materials, and innovative techniques
Collaborate closely with Product Development and Buying teams to ensure design alignment with business strategy
Manage garment development from initial concept to final sample, maintaining design integrity and quality
Work with suppliers and production teams to ensure design feasibility and execution
Prepare technical documentation and support fitting processes
Monitor market trends and competitor innovations to identify design opportunities
Ensure collections meet timing, calendar milestones, and internal processes
Requirements
Degree in Fashion Design or related field
Minimum 5 years of professional fashion design experience
Strong knowledge of fabrics, materials, and garment construction techniques
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Ability to interpret trends and translate them into commercial, brand-aligned designs
High level of creativity with strong product sensibility
Excellent organizational skills and project management capabilities
Proactive attitude and strong teamwork mindset
Fluency in Spanish and English
