About the role
Overview
ECCO is seeking a creative and experienced Senior Designer to lead the creative direction for women's footwear collections at their global headquarters in Denmark. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of footwear design by blending Scandinavian aesthetics, premium comfort, and sustainability.
Responsibilities
Take full ownership of the design process from initial concept to final prototype
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across design, development, and commercial departments
Present design concepts and collections to internal stakeholders and leadership
Stay ahead of market trends and consumer needs to inform future collections
Mentor and inspire junior designers within the team
Ensure designs reflect ECCO's brand DNA and meet high standards of quality and sustainability
Requirements
6-10 years of experience in women's footwear design with a strong portfolio
Experience working with leather
Proficiency in design tools (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Blender)
Degree in footwear design
Excellent communication skills and ability to work across cultures
Collaborative mindset and proactive approach to design challenges
