Junior Designer
About the role
Overview
House of Dagmar is seeking a creative and passionate Junior Designer to join our dynamic team in Stockholm. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Creative Director and contribute to the development of collections that embody the brand's refined aesthetic and strong design identity.
Responsibilities
Conduct trend research and support season start-up under guidance from the Head of Design and Creative Director
Assist with collection planning in collaboration with Assortment and Product Managers
Create collection sketches and prepare technical packages for suppliers
Support fabric, trim, and pattern selection and research
Maintain and update design process documentation and overviews
Implement and work with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
Coordinate and participate in garment fittings
Create toiles and support pattern development as needed
Assist during photoshoots
Continuously research market trends and developments
Maintain an organized workspace with samples and fabrics
Requirements
BA in Fashion Design or equivalent
1-2 years of experience as a Junior Designer or Design Assistant
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
Knowledge of sewing techniques
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication abilities
Fluent in written and spoken English
Proactive and self-motivated learner
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
Strong knowledge of knitting techniques
Experience in freehand sketching and 3D draping
Demonstrated ability to take initiative
