About the role
Overview
Hunkemöller is seeking a creative and hands-on Fashion Designer to join their Nightwear department at the international headquarters in Hilversum, near Amsterdam. As an Assistant Designer, you'll be an integral part of the design team, supporting the creation of the latest nightwear collections.
Responsibilities
Assist the Senior Lingerie Designer in creating designs that align with Hunkemöller's brand vision and aesthetic
Conduct research on current and emerging lingerie trends, fabrics, and techniques
Create sketches and technical drawings to communicate design concepts to the wider team
Work with suppliers and manufacturers to develop prototypes and samples
Manage design projects, ensuring deadlines are met and designs meet high standards
Maintain design records and files, including fabric and trims swatches, sketches, and samples
Collaborate with the marketing team to create campaign assets showcasing the latest designs
Requirements
Degree in fashion design or related field
1-2 years of experience in nightwear design
Excellent sketching and technical drawing skills
Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, and garment construction techniques
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
Strong project management and multitasking abilities
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Passionate about lingerie and fashion, with an eye for detail and trends
Fluency in English
