2D and 3D Graphic design internship

Work inside the atelier at Iris van Herpen in Amsterdam, where garments are built from technical files for laser cutting and fabric manipulation takes shape through vector and 3D visualization. As the graphic design intern, you sit closely with the atelier team and apply computer vector and 3D skills to garment construction.
This is a full-time, onsite internship of at least four months. Interns are carefully selected, and the placement is dedicated to your ambitions and skills.
Note the logistics before you apply: a European passport is required unless you study at a Dutch university. The house receives many applications, so allow up to six weeks for a reply and send yours well in advance.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with the atelier team on technical files for laser cutting
- Support garment construction
- Develop fabric manipulation through computer vector and 3D visualization
What you'll bring
- Degree or current degree study in architecture, industrial design, product design, graphic design, or fashion with a focus on construction
- Command of the industry jargon in English
- Excellent spatial awareness paired with logical, constructive thinking
- Patience, curiosity, and a hands-on, innovative approach
- Education and experience in the construction field
- Basic pattern-making knowledge, an advantage
- Time management skills and the ability to work under time pressure
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator
- Knowledge of 3D programs, an advantage
