Are you an experienced stylist with a sharp feel for fashion, fit, colour and collection building? Can you turn ideas into clothing that is wearable, commercial and distinctive?
JANSEN Amsterdam is looking for a Senior Stylist / Product Developer to play a key role in shaping our collections. Someone with experience, a strong fashion sense and a keen eye for detail.
You think along from the first collection idea through to the finished product, and you know better than most how styling, fit, material and wearability come together.
What you'll do
- Contribute ideas on the direction, look and structure of new collections
- Translate trends into commercial, wearable and distinctive items
- Develop ideas for new styles, silhouettes, colours and details
- Compile and safeguard the collection as a whole
- Give styling advice throughout collection development
- Contribute to combinations, sets and follow-through pieces within the collection
- Ensure every item fits the style, quality and look of JANSEN Amsterdam
- Spot opportunities based on trends, customer needs and sellability
- Develop and work out new garments
- Assess fit, material, colour, details and finish
- Fit-check and assess samples
- Give clear feedback on models and prototypes
- Contribute ideas on improving wearability, fit and look
- Collaborate with the production team to translate ideas technically and practically
- Balance creativity, quality and commercial sense
What you'll bring
- Extensive experience as a stylist, product developer, collection stylist or in a similar fashion role
- Strong feel for fit, silhouette, colour, material and detail
- Ability to translate trends into wearable, commercial collections
- Creative, practical and result-oriented thinking
- Eye for quality and finish
- Independent, critical and structured way of working
- Confidence to set direction and back up your vision
- Focused collaboration with production, buying and the creative team
- Understanding of the JANSEN Amsterdam customer
- Experience with fit sessions, sample assessment and collection development
- Experience with Adobe software, technical drawings or stylesheets is a plus
