Overview
POM Amsterdam, a vibrant Dutch fashion brand founded by sisters Liesbeth & Violet in 2011, is seeking an experienced Interim Head of Design to lead their creative team during a temporary period. With over 500 global sales points, POM Amsterdam creates colorful and powerful fashion that makes women feel beautiful and strong.
Responsibilities
Preserve and translate the POM Amsterdam brand DNA across all collections
Transform fashion trends and market insights into compelling collection concepts
Lead and guide the design team through the design process, focusing on prints, colors, silhouettes, and styles
Prepare and conduct pre-collection meetings for color palettes, prints, models, and target pricing
Make strategic decisions in collection development
Facilitate design transfer to the Production Team
Coordinate weekly alignment with Head of Production on collection structure, margins, and pricing
Manage development meetings and maintain project timelines
Participate in fittings and refine designs as needed
Contribute to collection concepts for sales presentations and trend shoots
Requirements
Minimum 5 years experience in a senior fashion design role
Experience leading a creative team
Strong skills in collection development with commercial insight
Expertise in color palette and print design direction
Familiarity with GRID project management structure
Strategic, decisive, and highly organized
