About the role
Overview
Skinnydip London is seeking a creative and commercially minded Apparel Designer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our design department, you'll lead design and development across our diverse apparel categories, bringing bold, trend-led fashion to life for our global audience.
Responsibilities
Design seasonal apparel ranges across multiple categories including:
Jersey
Sweats
Outerwear
Lounge
Graphic-led fashion pieces
Create cohesive trend, colour, and graphic stories aligned with the Skinnydip brand
Develop bold placements, repeats, embroideries, and graphic prints with a distinctive Skinnydip aesthetic
Manage design submissions through licensor portals (Disney, Universal, and others), tracking feedback and securing approvals
Create comprehensive CADs, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and technical packs for suppliers
Brief fabrics, trims, and washes while managing sampling and revisions
Own the development process for assigned styles, tracking strike-offs, lab dips, pre-production samples, and production timelines
Requirements
3+ years of experience in apparel design within fashion retail or supplier environments
Strong graphic and print design skills
Comprehensive understanding of the full product lifecycle, from concept through production
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (Photoshop knowledge is a plus)
Commercial awareness with a strong trend and product instinct
Highly organized with ability to manage multiple projects efficiently
Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills
Strong awareness of TikTok, Instagram, and emerging fashion trends
Experience working with licensed products
