This role sits at the center of how Tommy Hilfiger designs and develops product globally. Reporting to the Director Product Design & Development in Amsterdam, the Manager drives key projects across vendor collaboration, technical design, 3D design, and color and material management, the disciplines that turn a collection concept into a sellable product.
The role is the bridge between business and technology. You translate business needs into clear requirements and lead the implementation of system and process enhancements that support operational excellence and the wider system strategy.
Alongside the Director, you support day-to-day operations and give coordination and functional guidance to a team based across Amsterdam and India. You're always looking for ways to work smarter, improve data quality, and strengthen the end-to-end product lifecycle.
What you'll do
- Guide and coordinate the Product Design & Development team alongside the Director, setting clear priorities and supporting delivery against agreed objectives
- Oversee and consult on the team's operational activities, owning quality and timely delivery within your functional scope
- Initiate, drive and deliver projects on globalization, digitalization and data quality across Product Design & Development processes
- Manage the implementation of cross-departmental projects initiated by the Process Development team
- Act as a key point of contact for Product Design & Development topics within the team and across global stakeholders
- Manage key global stakeholders across multiple departments together with the Director
- Drive analysis, validation and design of new processes and IT enhancements, translating business needs into clear requirements and specifications
- Contribute to the definition, documentation and adoption of global processes, standards and ways of working
- Support the team with day-to-day business support for systems including PLM, Color Digital and 3D tools, covering requests, feedback, bugs and malfunctions
- Partner with IT to test new requirements, upgrades and improvements that meet business needs and support stable operations
- Support coaching and development of team members by sharing expertise and guidance on complex topics
- Manage workload priorities proactively, communicate risks and trade-offs, and maintain stakeholder alignment as priorities evolve
What you'll bring
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in fashion or retail
- Strong understanding of Product Design and Development processes, consultancy or hands-on Product Development and Design experience a strong plus
- Strong knowledge of PLM systems, data architecture and system-enabled process improvement, Centric 8 PLM experience desirable
- Proven experience coordinating, guiding or functionally leading a small team, project team or workstream in an indirect leadership capacity
- Strong experience modelling, mapping and improving complex processes, including documentation, training materials or adoption support
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive, hands-on mindset and comfort navigating ambiguity
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Confidence and proactivity in decision-making within your functional scope
- Strong affinity with IT and system integration
- Experience with Agile and traditional project management approaches, including JIRA or similar tools
- Practical experience with generative AI tools such as ChatGPT and AI-enabled workflows, basic scripting or automation tools such as Python where relevant
- Fluency in English, written and spoken
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Product Development, Information Management or a related field, or equivalent experience
