Tommy Hilfiger, part of PVH, is looking for a Technical Developer to join the Knitwear team in Amsterdam. This role sits at the center of technical development for apparel, maintaining and updating the block libraries alongside senior team members and driving new seasonal silhouettes across the global supply base.
You will manage the end-to-end technical development of assigned products, owning quality, fit, and timely execution from first sample to production. The role partners closely with cross-functional teams to interpret design intent, translate it into technical requirements, and land on solutions that work commercially.
Day to day, you work alongside design, merchandising, and product development to read sketches, build out collections, and stay close to what the market needs, all while keeping the team on shared deadlines.
What you'll do
- Manage the technical development of assigned product groups from concept to production
- Participate in fit sessions, document comments, and communicate changes internally and externally
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all technical data in PLM
- Monitor progress against the critical path to keep deliveries on time
- Act as the main technical contact between design, product development, sourcing, and quality
- Identify and resolve standard technical issues, escalating complex cases where needed
- Collaborate with global teams and vendors to maintain consistency in fit, quality, and construction
- Support ad hoc tasks such as sample organization, meeting preparation, and reporting
What you'll bring
- 2-4 years of experience in technical development within apparel
- Knits experience
- Degree in fashion, garment technology, pattern cutting, or a related field
- Solid understanding of garment construction, fit, and pattern development
- Familiarity with PLM and other relevant software such as Gerber or equivalent
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Ability to solve routine problems independently and follow established procedures
- High level of organization with strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Comfort working in a hands-on, fast-moving environment
- Self-driven, pragmatic, and commercially minded approach
- Alignment with PVH values of individuality, passion, accountability, partnership, and integrity
- Fluency in written and spoken English
