Velen & Vale is looking for a contract Business Consultant to advise clients in luxury, beauty and investment on strategic and operational challenges. The role is remote and based in Paris.
You will work where strategy meets execution: market and financial analysis, brand performance assessment, and the search for growth and optimization opportunities. You will turn that work into client-ready deliverables, from strategy decks to implementation roadmaps, and facilitate the workshops and interviews that move decisions forward.
At mid-senior level you will run several client engagements at once and collaborate across internal and client teams, shaping brand, digital and commercial strategy for a studio whose clients are new fashion labels, luxury startups and D2C brands.
What you'll do
- Run market and financial analyses to ground every recommendation in numbers
- Assess brand performance and where it stands against opportunity
- Identify growth and optimization opportunities across client businesses
- Prepare client-ready deliverables, from strategy decks and recommendations to implementation roadmaps
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews
- Collaborate with internal and client teams across engagements
- Support the design of brand, digital and commercial strategy
- Manage multiple client engagements concurrently
What you'll bring
- Strong analytical skills, with comfort in data interpretation, problem-solving and structured recommendations
- Consulting and management consulting skills across client advisory, strategic planning and project delivery
- Excellent communication for both creative and financial stakeholders
- Finance skills across business models, unit economics and investment or commercial performance metrics
- Proven experience in strategy, business analysis or consulting, ideally in luxury, beauty or consumer brands
- Effectiveness in a remote international environment with deadline management
- Cross-functional collaboration skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing or a related field
- Advanced degree or MBA, an asset
