As Product Manager at Fresh 'n Rebel you are no middleman and no remote manager. You own your product portfolio and the full trajectory: from idea and development to launch and further development. You know your products through and through: specifications, materials, performance, quality, risks and manufacturability.
At the same time you keep an overview of projects, schedules and dependencies. You make sure colleagues in Rotterdam and China, and external partners, know what needs to happen to bring products to market successfully. Product thinker, project manager, driver and quality guardian in one.
What you'll do
- Own your product portfolio and the full product lifecycle, from idea and briefing to development, launch and optimization
- Translate market developments, consumer needs, commercial opportunities and product data into new product ideas, specifications and improvement projects
- Guide product development from concept to mass production
- Assess samples, test functionalities, compare materials and analyze quality issues
- Give feedback on product, packaging and user experience
- Monitor schedules, deadlines, dependencies and milestones
- Keep colleagues in Rotterdam and China, and external partners, on track
- Spot risks early, set priorities and balance design, quality, functionality, cost price, manufacturability and speed
- Make sure product specifications, documentation and product information are correct and up to date
- Work with Marketing and Sales on successful product launches
- Visit colleagues, suppliers and production partners in China where needed
What you'll bring
- HBO+ working and thinking level
- Experience in product management, product development, project management or a similar role
- Experience with physical consumer products
- Experience in consumer electronics, accessories, lifestyle products or international production is a plus
- Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- A proactive and independent attitude with a drive for results
- Good communication skills in Dutch and English
- Experience with international collaboration, preferably with Chinese suppliers and production partners
