Little Concepts BV is looking for a Designer to build creative, trend-driven and commercially successful collections across jewelry, gifts, stationery and hair accessories. Working from initial concept through to final product, you turn the latest trends into products that sell in the European mass market, for retailers such as Action, Kruidvat, Wibra and Vomar.
The role mixes creativity with a practical sense of the mass market. You develop concepts for children, teens and adults, then carry them through technical drawings, packaging, displays and sample checks to the finished product. It is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, based onsite in Amsterdam, with close collaboration across the team and with suppliers in China.
What you'll do
- Identify and translate the latest trends in jewelry, gifts, stationery and hair accessories for children, teens and adults into commercial product concepts
- Develop innovative collections tailored to the mass market
- Design packaging, displays and other visual product presentations
- Create detailed technical drawings and designs in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Manage collection administration, including workflow, documentation and file management
- Work closely with colleagues and suppliers in China to communicate and develop designs
- Review, assess and check incoming samples at the office in Amsterdam
- Work with the wider team to ensure collections meet creative, commercial, quality and customer requirements
What you'll bring
- A completed degree in Graphic Design, Product Design, Fashion or a related field, at minimum Dutch HBO/Bachelor level
- At least 3 years of recent, demonstrable experience in collection or product design
- Experience with jewelry, gifts, stationery, hair accessories or similar consumer products, a strong plus
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- A strong sense of trends and active interest in lifestyle, fashion, retail and consumer products
- A creative mindset combined with a practical and commercial approach
- Strong communication and social skills
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- A flexible attitude and willingness to go the extra mile
- Good command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written
