About the role
The Sting is looking for a Junior Fashion Designer to design its womenswear collection. The role starts with understanding the target customer, then translating that insight into a complete, cohesive collection.
Based at The Sting's headquarters in Lijnden, this position suits a designer early in their career who is ready to move from individual pieces to owning a full collection story.
What you'll do
- Design an innovative collection aligned with The Sting's vision
- Determine key looks and develop moodboards together with the Fashion Buyer and Graphic Fashion Designer
- Translate creative ideas into clear technical drawings
- Balance commercial items with the latest trends
- Shop regularly at home and abroad for inspiration
What you'll bring
- Completed HBO-level education in fashion design
- 2 to 4 years of experience as a designer in a commercial environment
- Extensive experience with Adobe CC, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop
- Independent way of working, initiative and fresh, unconventional thinking
- Up-to-date knowledge of trends and developments in fashion, retail and lifestyle
- Portfolio included, with a link in your motivation letter or CV
