Ydence — Design — Zaandam, NLAbout the role
Ydence, a growing fashion brand in Zaandam, is looking for an experienced Senior Fashion Designer to strengthen its design team.
Working with an enthusiastic team, you design Ydence's own trendy women's collections, sold at hundreds of retailers across Europe and via the brand's own webshop. You build complete collections from concept to sampling and steer the creative process at every step, turning trend research into wearable, commercial items that fit the target audience.
The role is full time at 32 to 40 hours per week, onsite in Zaandam. Salary goes up to 5000 EUR per month.
What you'll do
- Develop and build complete womenswear collections independently
- Continuously follow and analyse trends, translating them into wearable, commercial items
- Develop moodboards, trend analyses and strong, distinctive colour cards
- Develop silhouettes, prints, colours and key pieces that feel fresh and fit the target audience
- Guard collection planning, deadlines, coherence and the Ydence DNA
- Liaise with Sales, Marketing & Content to bring commercial insight and the creative collection concept together
- Steer the creative process from concept to sampling
What you'll bring
- An HBO degree in Fashion Design or equivalent
- At least 5 years of relevant womenswear experience
- Preferably experience at a commercial, trend-driven womenswear brand
- Proven experience developing collections independently
- Excellent command of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Strong technical development of designs
- A strong portfolio showing collection building, trend sense, commercial translation and use of colour
- Strong affinity with Ydence and its target audience
