BEAUMONT is looking for an all-round fashion designer to help build its womenswear collection. The Amsterdam brand grew out of a strong reputation for modern outerwear and has since become a full womenswear label, with a complete collection for the modern, self-assured woman.
In this role you work closely with the design team and other departments, translating trends, inspiration and commercial insight into strong collections that stay true to BEAUMONT's DNA. You contribute to the full womenswear range, from everyday essentials to statement pieces, and your sense of fashion, materials and silhouette shapes the brand's identity from the inside.
BEAUMONT is looking for a creative and commercial designer with a hands-on approach and a genuine affinity for womenswear. Experience with woven fabrics is a strong plus, as is experience with size specifications and technical product development.
What you'll do
- Translate trends and inspiration into innovative, commercial designs aligned with BEAUMONT's DNA
- Develop designs into clear technical drawings and product specifications for production
- Contribute to trend research and translate it into strong style and collection concepts
- Source new fabrics, materials, trimmings and haberdashery with the design and product development team
- Support fittings and try-on sessions and monitor fit and quality
- Keep the collection structured and clear through line sheets and collection overviews
- Work closely with design, product development and production throughout the entire development process
What you'll bring
- Completed HBO degree in Fashion Design
- Approximately 2 to 5 years' experience in womenswear or a similar women's fashion brand
- Creative and commercially astute approach, with a keen sense of brand identity and collection development
- Strong affinity for trends, colour, materials and silhouettes
- Good knowledge of fabrics, fits, qualities and product construction
- Strong skills in Adobe Illustrator and other design software
- Fluency in Dutch and English
- Proactive, curious mindset with eagerness to learn
- Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in woven fabrics is a strong advantage
- Experience with size specifications and technical product development is an advantage
