About the role

Do you want to be part of the growing production team at by-bar Amsterdam? by-bar is a Dutch clothing and accessories label, founded in 2008 by Barbara Brenninkmeijer. From our office and warehouse in Breda, we work with an enthusiastic team on styling, development, production, purchasing, logistics and sales.

As a Product Manager, you are the indispensable link between creativity and production. You guide the entire process, from the initial development phase through to delivery of the final product, helping to bring our contemporary collections to life.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with suppliers, designers, the sustainability department and the merchandise department
  • Monitor delivery times for both development samples and production quantities, in line with the collection and production planning
  • Drive growth within the set sustainability targets
  • Keep ERP and PLM systems up to date with all required article information
  • Inform internal departments in a timely and accurate manner about the progress of collection and production processes
  • Place sample and production orders
  • Negotiate prices and monitor margins
  • Monitor quality and assess sample collections through to delivery of production
  • Set up size charts and measure samples
  • Prepare and guide fitting sessions
  • Travel regularly to producers abroad

Requirements

  • Bachelor's level work and thinking ability with at least 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Proactive and precise way of working
  • Good communication skills
  • Technical, commercial and analytical insight
  • Affinity with fashion and production processes
  • Fluency in Dutch and English
  • Willingness to travel regularly to producers abroad

Nice to Have

  • Experience with ERP and PLM systems
