About the role

Hunkemöller is Europe's leading lingerie brand, and this internship is your chance to get hands on experience at the heart of its creative process. As a Design Intern within the Swimwear and Accessories team, you will be immersed in the full lifecycle of a fashion collection, from early trend research through to finished products landing in stores across Europe.

This role is part of Hunkemöller's celebrated Best Internship in Retail (BIIR) Program, a structured, enriching experience shared with 50+ fellow interns. The program goes well beyond day to day tasks, offering dedicated training sessions, leadership development activities, and direct access to senior company figures. As a certified Top Employer of the Netherlands 2025, Hunkemöller is genuinely invested in helping interns grow both professionally and personally.

02 — What you'll do

What you'll do

  • Support and assist the design team throughout the development of swimwear, beachwear, and accessories collections
  • Gain insight into the complete collection development process, from trend presentations to final products reaching stores
  • Prepare detailed technical drawings using Adobe Illustrator
  • Assist in developing prints, colorways, and color cards
  • Support the team with day to day departmental tasks to keep workflows running smoothly
  • Help maintain an organised and efficient work environment
03 — What you'll bring

What you'll bring

  • Currently enrolled in a Design degree programme at HBO, Bachelor, or Master level (for example at AMFI, Artemis, HTW Hamburg, UDK Berlin, De Montfort University, or a comparable institution)
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, with working knowledge of InDesign
  • A strong eye for colour, print, and trends, combined with a genuine passion for fashion and design
  • Creative, organised, and detail oriented in your approach to work
  • Comfortable supporting a team and able to stay calm and focused when working to deadlines
  • Available for the full 5 month internship period starting September 2026
  • Enrolled at your school or university for the full duration of the placement
  • Experience with Clo 3D is a bonus
