JBC is looking for a Fashion Designer to join the creative team at its head office in Houthalen. You dive into color, prints and trends, and turn them into a fashionable, trendy collection for JBC girls.
Working closely with the Concept Designer, you translate design ideas into technical drawings and style sheets within a set schedule, using Illustrator and Photoshop to bring the collection to life before presenting it to management.
What you'll do
- Prepare technical style sheets for clothing designs and prints
- Develop designs and looks into technical drawings within a set schedule, working with the Concept Designer
- Support the Concept Designer in designing a fashionable, trendy collection for JBC girls
- Track and signal trends through trade fairs, shopping trips, trend books and magazines
- Gather trend information on materials, fabrics and designs
- Work out fashion trends in detail using Illustrator and Photoshop and present the collection to management
- Advise on color cards and themes for different target groups
What you'll bring
- Higher education in a creative field, preferably fashion, plus experience in concept and product development within a retail environment
- Close eye on trends and the ability to translate them to the brand's DNA
- Commercial feeling and mindset, with empathy for the customer
- Vision and passion for fashion, energized by achieving results with a team
- Comfort designing in Illustrator and Photoshop
