Vans is seeking an Associate Designer, Visualization 3D & Innovation for an entry-level role on the design and innovation team. This position is critical to driving forward-thinking design concepts using cutting edge digital tools and artificial intelligence. You'll be responsible for creating high quality 3D models and visual representations that push the boundaries of footwear, apparel, and accessories design.
What you'll do
- Leverage GenAI, Adobe, and CAD tools to generate innovative footwear, apparel, and accessories concepts based on emerging technologies
- Utilize AgenticAI to optimize design visualization and deliver rich visual assets
- Collaborate with 3D modelers to create high quality visuals and presentations for various departments
- Support product teams in incorporating digital design tools like Vizcom, Blender, Substance Painter, and Photoshop
- Research and share insights on new technologies, materials, and design applications
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or digital arts
- 1-3 years of professional experience with design and visualization
- Proficiency in texturing/rendering software (Rhino, Unreal, Blender)
- Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere)
- Strong business software skills, including Microsoft Suite and Figma
- Excellent teamwork and cross-departmental collaboration abilities
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently
- Experience with GenAI tools (MidJourney, Claude, ChatGPT)
- Familiarity with 3D printing files and outputs
- Background in footwear and apparel design
