Overview

At Vlisco, the (Senior) Art Director plays a critical role in bringing our brand vision to life through compelling visual storytelling. You will translate our brand identity into sophisticated, fashion-driven visual narratives across all marketing touchpoints, combining creative conceptualization with precise execution.

Responsibilities

Translate brand vision and value proposition into elevated, contemporary visual worlds
Apply strong aesthetic judgment to ensure high fashion creative standards in all visual outputs
Develop and maintain visual execution guidelines across print, digital, retail, and wholesale channels
Create campaign layouts, look books, digital content, packaging, and POS materials within budget and timeline
Direct and collaborate with photographers, stylists, set designers, and agencies
Ensure visual alignment, consistency, and continuous creative elevation
Provide hands-on leadership in shoot preparation, on set direction, and post-production
Lead Visual Merchandising, including retail refreshes and transformation concepts

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Visual Communication, Fashion, Branding, or related field
8+ years of professional art direction experience in fashion, lifestyle, or premium brands
Strong portfolio demonstrating fashion storytelling and high-quality image-making
Deep understanding of visual identity systems and brand consistency
Proven experience leading and mentoring creative teams
Highly creative, culturally aware, and confident in creative decision-making
Excellent collaborative and communication skills
Fluent in English; Dutch and French are advantageous
