Zegna's Design Fashion Show Team is looking for a Junior Designer to join its Milan studio. You'll support the development of seasonal collections, from creative research through to the technical execution behind fashion show presentations.
This is a hands-on role at the intersection of design and construction. You'll translate creative direction into sketches and technical drawings, keep spec sheets accurate, and work closely with product development and pattern-making to bring prototypes to life with consistency.
It's a chance to build your craft inside one of menswear's most established houses, contributing to fittings, styling sessions, and the everyday work that shapes a collection.
What you'll do
- Support the design team through research, concept development, and seasonal collection building
- Translate creative inputs into design proposals through sketches and visual explorations
- Develop accurate technical drawings for trousers and shirts, covering construction, seams, stitching, and finishes
- Prepare and update technical specification sheets covering materials, construction methods, measurements, colors, trims, and components
- Collaborate with product development and pattern-making teams to ensure accurate prototypes and design consistency
- Support fittings and sample development sessions, contributing to fit and construction refinements
- Assist with styling sessions, internal presentations, and development milestones as needed
- Contribute to continuous improvement in product quality, construction, and execution
What you'll bring
- Degree in Fashion Design
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in runway
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign for technical drawings and collection recaps
- Strong team-working attitude and collaborative mindset
- Open-minded, cross-category approach to design thinking
- Solid understanding of garment and accessory construction, with close attention to detail
- Fluency in English and Italian
