01 — About the role

About the role

Hunkemöller is looking for an Accessories Garment Technician with strong technical experience across hosiery, socks, bra solutions, gifting, beach bags and slippers. You carry these products from Design's first artwork through to approved production, turning concepts into accurate specifications and guarding quality at every stage.

You work with Design, the buying team and suppliers: sourcing fabrics and trims, running fit and product reviews, sealing samples, checking construction and chasing critical paths. Experience in Beauty, Wellness or Travel accessories is highly desirable.

The role is full time and based in Hilversum on a hybrid schedule.

02 — What you'll do

What you'll do

  • Contribute to strategy meetings, sharing technical updates, product insights and development opportunities
  • Research new materials, components, applications and construction techniques to improve quality, performance and innovation
  • Gather customer feedback and insights from stores and customer-facing teams to improve the product
  • Source fabrics, materials, trims and components with Design and suppliers for the intended end use
  • Translate Design artworks and concepts into clear, accurate specifications to support product development
  • Conduct fit and product review sessions, assessing fit, comfort, function and suitability
  • Identify technical issues during sampling and fitting and work with Design and suppliers on practical solutions
  • Review and challenge construction, materials and components to improve the end result
  • Record clear, accurate technical comments, measurements and images and maintain specifications in PLM
  • Manage the sealing and approval process from first sample through pre-production and production
  • Ensure products meet quality, construction and workmanship standards throughout development and production
  • Monitor product performance against agreed standards and support the development of new ones
  • Ensure fabrics, materials, trims and components meet quality and performance requirements through risk-based wear testing, resolving issues with suppliers
  • Carry out random AQL checks in the DC and communicate QC failures
  • Maintain and develop product-specific technical standards and documentation, and manage, review and approve base and bulk test reports against Hunkemöller standards
  • Work with the Product Sustainability Technologist to ensure EU compliance
  • Work with the buying team and suppliers on critical path management and timely sample delivery
  • Conduct supplier VCs to strengthen relationships and assess production risk
  • Work with suppliers so design briefs deliver right-first-time samples
  • Review pre-production risk assessments and follow up on actions
03 — What you'll bring

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's, Master's or HBO degree in fashion, clothing and quality control
  • At least 1-2 years' experience in a similar function
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Knowledge of PLM systems
