Maruti is the women's footwear label within Bos Group International, based in Weert. The brand is known for a distinctive mix of fashion, comfort and character. Every collection starts from a strong brand identity, with quality, materials and commercial relevance at the centre. Bos Group is a leading producer and distributor of fashion and sports brands.
As Product Developer / Line Builder you are responsible for the development of the Maruti collection. You translate trends and market developments into commercial products and guide the entire process from first idea to production.
You work closely with the Product Director, colleagues from Purchasing, Marketing and Sales, and with suppliers in Europe and Asia.
What you'll do
- Spot trends through trade fairs, store visits, social media and online market analyses
- Translate trends into a commercial collection that fits the Maruti DNA
- Develop new models, lasts, soles, uppers, materials, colours, branding and hardware
- Build and guard the line plan, the right price positioning and product groups
- Prepare and produce product specifications (spec-sheets)
- Request, assess, fit and clearly comment on prototypes, salesman samples and confirmation samples
- Keep timelines, quality and delivery dates on track throughout the development process
- Work closely with suppliers in Europe and Asia and maintain those relationships
- Travel regularly to suppliers and international trade fairs
- Keep an overview of every step taken and every agreement made
What you'll bring
- A commercial and creative profile with an eye for detail; you read what is happening in the market and turn it into successful products
- HBO work and thinking level
- At least two years of experience as Product Developer, Product Manager or Buyer in the footwear or fashion sector
- Willingness to travel, around four times a year to the Far East for about a week per trip
- Full command of English, written and spoken
- A precise, proactive working style that stays steady under pressure and fits a hands-on, no-nonsense culture
- Creativity and independence, with a natural feel for fashion and trends
