Surprise Paris is hiring a fashion Product Developer / Product Manager to drive its collections and enrich its product offer. You will work alongside passionate, autonomous colleagues across design, production, retail and e-commerce, from collection planning to quality control on the factory floor. The role calls for rigour, organisation and a real business sense, with a salary of up to EUR 48,000 per year. It is a full-time, hybrid role in Paris, with one remote day per week after probation.
What you'll do
- Support designers in creating and developing collection plans
- Create and manage tech packs, materials, measurements and finishes, guaranteeing their accuracy and compliance at every stage
- Follow prototypes, samples and fittings through to production approval, with systematic quality checks at each iteration: measurements, drape, washes, finishes
- Guarantee finished-product compliance on quality, cost and timing, with measurements on the grading scale, washes and treatments per the validated standard, and flawless finishes before sign-off
- Manage supplier and factory relationships, with real quality follow-up at every step
- Source the right materials at the right price, systematically checking their technical compliance: composition, drape, wash behaviour
- Track development and production calendars, and run regular in-factory quality checks on measurements, washes and finishes to catch and correct non-conformities before shipment
- Liaise between the design, production, retail and e-commerce teams
- Track collection budgets
- Anticipate risks on timing, quality and costs, and set quality checkpoints at every key development milestone
- Contribute to continuous improvement of product processes, especially quality control procedures for measurements, washes, finishes and compliance
What you'll bring
- Two to three years of experience in collection development or product management (a plus)
- Solid knowledge of fashion, product and textiles
- Strong organisation, rigour on details and full autonomy
- A natural ease with suppliers and negotiation
- A real business sense: pricing, margins, deadlines
- Comfort in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment
